Our theme will be A Passion for Impact, and our hope is to energize and equip you to make a difference in your community.

You are invited to our
North Area Spring Meeting
hosted by the First Baptist Church of Grand Blanc
on April 26, from 3-8 pm.
Just a reminder about our Spring Meeting. Its shaping up to be an historic time for our association. Be sure to get your registrations in by April 22.
Our theme will be A Passion for Impact, and our hope is to energize and equip your folks to make a difference in your community. After a time of welcome and orientation, we’ll have breakout groups for you to choose from (you can attend two). Regretfully, we needed to drop two of our initial offerings, but we still have a solid lineup!
Only God can guide your church in having a Kingdom impact. We don’t want to present a “cookie-cutter” approach to outreach. Our Breakout Groups are designed to provide you with some different approaches and encouragement. As you sift through some ideas, prayerfully allow the Lord to direct you (and your church) into your unique call, as you impact lives for Christ. Having said that, here’s some more detail!
- Impact Your Community: Posturing your Church towards the Culture Around You, led by Pastor Malcolm Brown and Associate Tim Goodrich of Christ Community Baptist Church (formerly Third Avenue) We will deal with scriptural principles that Christ Community Baptist Church used to seek and reach the culture and society that surrounded our fellowship
- Impact through Servant Evangelism: Don’t just go to church, BE the church, led by Pastor Ed Pedley of FBC Holly. Jesus came to seek and to save the world. So why are we using all our resources to care for the “church” when we should be out serving others for the sake of The Kingdom? We will talk about seeking the unchurched in your community and how you can make an impact on their lives for Christ and His Kingdom.
- Impact through Relational Evangelism: Being a Transformational Community, led by Pastor Chris Radcliffe of FBC Davision. Who am I in relationship to the followers of Jesus and those on the outside?
- Impact through Support Groups, led by Mary E. McDonough of Central Nazarene of Flint. Central Nazarene is an excellent model for Christian recovery ministries, using the Celebrate Recovery Program.
- Impact through Small Groups, led by Rev. Tucker J. Gunneman, Consultant for Transitional Ministries ABC-MI and current interim pastor at FBC, Saginaw. “Impact through small groups will show you how small groups are more than the latest trend. Instead they can be life-transforming opportunities for people both in the church and those God is calling you to reach. We will explore different types of small groups and how to begin a small group ministry that changes lives.”
We’ll serve a catered dinner at 6 pm, and we’ll accomplish some business while we eat. (The meal will be a Buffet with Garden Salad, Golden Baked Chicken, Mostaccioli with Tomato Sauce, Italian Meatballs, and Roasted Red Skin Potatoes.) You’ll get an update on our Camp Lael and Lake Louise, be introduced to their new director Ryan Madis, elect some new officers, and hopefully adopt new bylaws. Our proposed slate of new officers is:
Ed Pedley Chair Todd Regester Vice Chair
Lee Austin Secretary Ray Strawser Treasurer
Finally, we’ll have a great time of worship together at 7 pm. led by First Baptist with the help of their youth. We will be receiving an Offering for the Save Camp Lael fund, and we would encourage your church to promote a collection for this occasion. Our Association will present a donation as well.
The cost for the event is just $10 for adults and $5 for any youth. .
You can pay at the door, but you need to either RSVP through a church coordinator or directly to the North Area by Wed. April 22. Please indicate which two breakout groups you would like to attend. RSVP to Hill Road Baptist via:
